Fauré String Trio Welcomes Italian composer Giorgio Mirto.
Giorgio Mirto contacted us presenting his string trio commissioned by the Turin Music Festival. It is a very interesting work that depicts a poignent moment of his life. We are looking forward to performing this "Trio 451" at the end of the month. Giorgio lives in Italy but we have been in contact with him to discuss this piece and get to know him better. It has been a pleasure to work closely with him and we hope in the future to have the opportunity of having Giorgio in Pittsburgh. We have more works by Giorgio - his Guitar Quintet and a Piano Trio. We are greatly honored by and looking forward to the string trio Giorgio is composing dedicated to us!
